With a decision announcement scheduled in just two days time, Duncanville 4-star Phaizon Wilson has cut his options down to two. The 6-foot-4 wideout had named Arkansas, Ole Miss and Alabama as his top three last month and he's now eliminated the Rebels from contention.

There's good reason to believe Arkansas could be landing the nation's No. 169-ranked athlete on Friday. Playing time is a big factor for Wilson and the relationship he has with Kenny Guiton and KeTron Jackson give the Hogs another real edge over the competition.

Wilson alluded to Treylon Burks' potential departure for the NFL after this season and he said he sees an opportunity to step in.

“(Arkansas) is already losing a big dude so me coming in I could fill in that spot and be that big-time receiver," Wilson told Rivals. "All their other receivers are young and then they have Lucas (Coley) up there. I think I can play as a freshman if I can get the plays down.”

Arkansas does not have a receiver yet in their eight man 2022 recruiting class but Wilson would be joining Rivals250 running back Rashod Dubinion out of Georgia, 3-star Arkansas running back James Jointer, DeWitt TE Dax Courtney, South Carolinian center Eli Henderson and Arkansas tackle Andrew Chamblee on the offensive side.

Wilson transferred from Lancaster to Duncanville after the fall semester. Arkansas has offered seven other Duncanville players in the 2022 class.
