Last month when Baseball America and Perfect Game updated their recruiting rankings for the 2017 class, both had the Arkansas Razorbacks at No. 3 in the nation.
It was the second time in the last three years that head coach Dave Van Horn landed a top three class (the rankings only factor in players who actually made it to campus -- not those who chose pro ball after signing a National Letter of Intent).
To no one's surprise, Van Horn and the Hogs are continuing their hot streak into the 2018, 2019, and 2020 classes.
On Wednesday, the Razorbacks gained a big-time addition for the 2020 crop as Greenbrier (Ark.) third baseman Cayden Wallace, the nation's No. 18 overall prospect according to Perfect Game, chose the home state Hogs during an unofficial visit in Fayetteville.
His commitment is Arkansas' seventh for the 2020 class and generated enough interest from fans that we thought now would be a good time for an updated overview of Razorback baseball recruiting.
Here's how the Hogs' 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes stack up as of today. The class rankings used here are according to Perfect Game and are obviously subject to change many times over the next few years:
