The countdown is on as the Arkansas Razorbacks are just eight days away from kicking off the 2017 season with a home away from home opener against Florida A&M Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium.

This is the second-to-last game remaining on the contract with War Memorial Stadium that runs through 2018 (Vanderbilt is next), and that one could be the last Razorback game played in Little Rock. A tradition that started in 1948 could end after 70 years.

War Memorial Stadium has a capacity of 54,120 while Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville holds 72,000 and is undergoing a facelift that will take it to approximately 77,000. It also has better amenities to go with more luxury and club seating options.
