Arkansas earned the commitment of UMass transfer Josh Cohen on Friday, the first portal commitment of the young offseason. On paper, Cohen's stats are very impressive, and he also adds some much-needed size to an empty frontcourt for the Razorbacks.
As a four-year player, Cohen brings a ton of experience and high-level production. He boasts a long list of accolades — Northeast Conference Player of the Year, NEC Most Improved Player, All-NEC, All-Atlantic 10 — but the real questions are how does he fit? What is his play style like? What is he good at?
To put it simply, Cohen fills an area of need and is a very solid player to begin the portal process with.

Offense:
Cohen is most gifted on the offensive side of the ball. Draw an arc from short corner to short corner and he can score from anywhere inside. Cohen's footwork is top notch, and he displays a great deal of patience with the ball in his hands on the interior. He also has a diverse set of go-to moves to score in the post, relying heavily on a backdown drop shoulder finish. Others include a face-up short-arm push shot, post hook, an old fashioned up and under and just a standard backdown in the post.
