Each week, HawgBeat will list a few picks that look favorable based on trends and statistics throughout the season. We are 4-2 over the past two games...don't let us get HOT!

Over the course of the six-game SEC slate, this pick is 3-3, including 3-1 during the last four games. With the exception of the Alabama game, in which Black fouled out, he has been a bright spot during the losing skid, registering at least 15 points on three separate occasions.

The freshman has a solid matchup with a Rebels team that, like Arkansas, has a 1-5 SEC record, and is right in the middle of the pack in points allowed per game in league play.

Sticking with Black, the odds would say this prop is less likely to hit, but it is actually 4-2 since SEC play began. Just like the over 13.5 points, it is 3-1 over the last four games, only failing in the loss to the Crimson Tide, and even then, he was just one shy.

It is also worth noting for the Vanderbilt and Auburn games that he recorded his two lowest minute totals of the conference slate with 22 and 30, respectively, but he still succeeded in securing at least six boards.

Ole Miss usually plays in tight rebound battles, averaging 32.8 per game while allowing opponents to pull down 33. If that stays true, that should leave at least six for Black.
