Drawn-out search could cost Hogs key O-linemen
Arkansas has already lost a total of three commitments in the wake of Bret Bielema's firing 11 days ago, and more could jump ship if the program doesn't act quickly in naming a new head coach.
The de-commitments began last week when a pair of 2018 Texas cornerbacks, Byron Hanspard and Tanner McCalister, chose to reopen their options. Junior quarterback Ty Evans, Arkansas' only commitment for 2019, also announced that he would withdraw his pledge and seek other opportunities.
While it's no surprise for any program to lose commitments following a coaching change, Arkansas now finds itself in danger of missing out on two more at a key position of need as offensive linemen Luke Jones and Noah Banks are being heavily pursued by other big-name programs.
