While all the players are new to the Chad Morris way of doing things, there are three who are especially green in true freshman linebacker Bumper Pool, true freshman wide receiver Michael Woods and true freshman defensive lineman Isaiah Nichols.

"The great thing about these three guys that are coming in is they're learning the same terminology at the same time a senior is,” Morris said after Saturday’s practice.

“Isaiah, being a big guy and being put on that interior defensive line against some experienced guys like [Hjalte] Froholdt and some of those guys on the offensive line, sometimes you lose focus of those guys. But they're learning the system.

“Obviously Mike Woods making the catch today, Mike's done some really good things. He's got great acceleration, great speed.

“Bumper was able to get in and get quite a few reps today. Again, same thing, learning the system.”
