The Razorbacks currently list 19 commitments for the Class of 2017, including seven on the defensive side of the ball. No doubt, that area will continue to be a focus the next eight weeks before 2017 National Signing Day on Feb. 3.

Arkansas needs to continue to recruit defensive linemen, but they brought in a really nice class in 2016 with McTelvin Agim, Austin Capps, Briston Guidry and Jonathan Marshall. Agim started as a true freshman the second half of the season, and Capps proved to be a capable freshman, as well. If not for offseason knee surgery, Briston Guidry would have helped as a true freshman also. Jonathan Marshall is said to be more raw than the others but physically looks well ahead of the curve for freshmen defensive linemen.

Arkansas zeroed in on Troy James this month and will get a visit from highly recruited defensive end Jordan Wright this weekend. The Hogs are also expecting to get JUCO tackle Javier Edwards and current Missouri commitment Chris Turner on campus down the stretch.
