Kelley stands tall; Hogs blasted by Bama, 41-9
Arkansas lost a game nobody expected them to win Saturday evening, falling to No. 1 Alabama 41-9 in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The 31.5 point spread was spot on, but Arkansas did actually play a little better than expected behind redshirt freshman quarterback Cole Kelley – especially in the second and third quarters. Senior Austin Allen was out for this game with a shoulder injury.
“I thought Cole did some things that were very, very positive. He’s a fighter, a competitor,” Bielema said after the game. “The only thing, Cole tried to do a little too much. We knew that going in. He rides the highs and he tries to do too much. That’s some good teaching moments for him.”
