Arkansas got very good news on Thursday when the top player in the state, safety Montaric Brown of Ashdown, went public with his pledge to become a Hog. Here's the Commitment Analysis on the heavily-recruited defensive back:
THE COMMITMENT
Brown's recruitment has been somewhat of a roller coaster over the last month or so. He initially planned to make his decision on August 24, but earlier this month he said he'd make an announcement on Wednesday, July 6.
Brown quickly changed his mind and tweeted that he would wait until the end of July before announcing. A couple of weeks later, he told a reporter that he would wait until he had taken all of his officials.
That brings us to today, when his mother, grandmother and sister made a trip to Fayetteville that had been scheduled for well over a month. This was Brown's first opportunity to take the whole family with him, and there's no doubt it played out in favor of Bret Bielema and the Hogs.
