Physical and explosive Alabama was just too much for Arkansas' overmatched offensive line and late-arriving defense Saturday night in front of 75,459 in attendance in Donald W. Reynolds in Fayetteville as the Crimson Tide took home a 49-30 win.
Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC) was clearly the better team, which was expected from the No. 1 ranked team in the country, but this was only amplified by the offensive line throughout and a lack of physicality by the Arkansas defense in the first half. Arkansas (4-2, 0-2 SEC) isn't good enough to beat a team like Alabama with 5 turnovers no matter how many Alabama has. And they can't have 6 penalties for 60 yards even if 2 of them were questionable calls (the holding call that negated a touchdown and head coach Bret Bielema's subsequent unsportsmanlike penalty). When Arkansas went 6-1 to finish out 2015, they averaged just 2 penalties for 16 yards per game.
