JUCO transfers anxious to contribute to Razorbacks

Arkansas was able to get defensive lineman Gabe Richardson in as a later addition to the 2017 recruiting class as a blueshirt, but he was put on scholarship earlier than expected.

Richardson works primarily at the HOG outside linebacker position with the second team, which is the OLB with more pass rushing responsibilities. But he has also done some work at end in camp as a pass rusher.

“I came from a 3-4 defense out of Hutchinson Community College not too far from here, and we ran the same defense. The concept is the same thing. I’m getting aligned with it, learning the playbook, getting adjusted with the guys. We’re going to play fast, we’re going to play hard,” Richardson said.
