These are the 19 prospects that I think Arkansas has the best chance of signing in the 2019 class.
K.J. Jefferson is the Razorbacks' QB commit of the 2019 class and based on his commitment, which has been described as the least suspenseful of all time, I think Jefferson stays loyal and inks with the Hogs.
East Texas Razorback commit Beaux Limmer is all but signed, sealed and moved into his dorm, he just has to play his senior year of football first. His head coach, Kurt Traylor, is the brother of Arkansas AHC and RB coach Jeff Traylor and he stopped entertaining suitors for Beaux this spring.
Big boy Joseph Stone has said there's nothing he's more excited for than facing Alabama on game-day in a Razorbacks uniform so it's safe to say he'll be signing on the line early in December.
Trevor Roberson had a great official visit to the Hill in April and word on the street is that he'll be closing up his recruitment this summer.
Jack Buford raved and raved abut his official visit on the Hill but still has more visits to go. I like his attitude towards the staff and school enough to make him an Arkansas lean.
Triston Miller might be a UNC lean based on his hometown but he had a great official on the Hill in April and he continually shows love for the Razorbacks on social media. It's going to be a tough battle on this one.
"Of course Hudson Henry will be a Hog!" Okay, no. It's definitely not a sure-thing. Everybody knows it's between Arkansas and Stanford but I think at the end of the day he'll choose to stay in-state.
Aaron Young isn't even on the HawgBeat Big Board but I've just got a feeling about him. Coach Traylor went all the way out to Pennsylvania to see him this spring and he's coming for an early official visit next weekend so things around trending up for the 5-foot-10 back. Marcus Major is taking an official visit the 7-9 and A'Montae Spivey is also taking an unofficial at that time but I think the race is more likely between Young and Spivey based on Major's very elite top 7.
This guy's gotta be a Razorback, if he's not then my name isn't Nikki Chavanelle. That's really all I've got to say here. I think once the staff gets him on campus for an official visit it'll be over.
Jefferson standout T.Q. Jackson couldn't be more emphatic about his love for the Razorbacks and I think that's going manifest into a commitment this summer when he shuts it down July 21.
The battle for the third wide receiver spot will be between Trey Knox, Dylan Wright and Shamar Nash and it's really tough to pick between the three here but I give the edge to Knox for some of his more recent comments about his love for Coach Stepp. He's also taking his first OV on the Hill June 7 with Shamar Nash. Nash is still "confident in his commitment" to Missouri so I can't confidently say he's a hog lock and Wright's list of offers is too elite to assume he's going to choose the Razorbacks.
Carl Williams tweeted that he "can't wait" for his OV to Arkansas next weekend and I can't wait to see if he commits. I think there's a 50-50 chance he does commit after his visit but he does have some great other offers so maybe he'll hold off to take some more visits first.
The Razorback staff has been on Jackson since they first got to Arkansas and based on his top six schools, Arkansas, in my opinion, is his best option. He does have love for OSU and Texas Tech but get him and Jalen Catalon to campus together in the fall for an official visit and I think he could pull the trigger.
Obviously Zach Williams' recruitment has blown up and he's visiting a ton of schools but I still think the allure of playing for his in-state school and the school where his dad played will win him over.
A couple weeks ago I felt better about this pick than I do now but with his legacy status I still give Mataio Soli an Arkansas lean. He's taking official visits to Florida and Auburn as well, and he just picked up the Auburn offer last week.
Zach Zimos decommitted from Cal and immediately scheduled a visit to the Hill for this coming weekend. I saw the new Star Wars movie last night, so in that spirit... the force is strong with this one.
Mark Smith spent his last trip of the evaluation period in Florida stopping to see one of his targets Raymond Woodie however, Woodie tends to speak highly of most of the schools recruiting him so it's tough to get a good read. He did just schedule his first OV to Louisville. He will announce either a top-5 or a top-8 soon.
Newton standout Josh Foster is taking an official visit to the Hill June 7 and he's being recruited by Jeff Traylor and Mark Smith, who both have a lot of influence and respect among Texas high school football coaches.
No way anybody flips the Rison, Arkansas native.
