RUNDOWN: Long line of losses for Razorbacks

Things are going from bad to worse for Arkansas' offensive line.

All-American center Frank Ragnow will miss the rest of the season, head coach Bret Bielema confirmed during his weekly press conference on Monday. Ragnow has what is described as a severe ankle sprain that will keep him out of action for 12 weeks.

Ragnow, who had started 33 consecutive games, suffered the injury in the first quarter of the Razorbacks' 52-20 loss to Auburn last Saturday night.

Ragnow, a consensus All-American and the No. 2 center on Mel Kiper's board, tested the NFL draft waters last offseason before returning to Fayetteville for his senior year.

He will finish his college career with zero sacks allowed in 42 career games played.

The injury is more bad news for an Arkansas offensive line that ranks last in the SEC in sacks allowed and 11th in the league in rushing against conference competition.

Redshirt-junior Zach Rogers would appear to be in line to replace Ragnow at center. Rogers started at center and Ragnow shifted to right guard when the Hogs lost 41-9 at Alabama on October 14.

Senior Jake Raulerson, who started eight games including one at center in 2016, could be in the mix, as well.

Ragnow's injury is the latest in a streak of bad luck for the Hogs this season. After seeing starting tailback Rawleigh Williams retire from football last spring, Arkansas has now lost key starters in cornerback Ryan Pulley, wide receiver Jared Cornelius, another running back in Chase Hayden, and quarterback Austin Allen has missed the last two games in SEC play.
