Every camp for the first scrimmage, one of my primary focuses is to take time to individually focus on the newer players - watch them from when they line up until the play is over - to get an idea of how they move, how comfortable they look and what kind of upside they may have.

De'Jon Harris is a natural inside linebacker. He doesn't take a lot of false steps, he really moves well through traffic, and he carries a really good base. The first thing anyone will notice about Harris is that he carries his weight from the waist down. This kid has wide hips and thick thighs and just seems like a guy who isn't going to be pushed backwards. They list him at 6-0, 255, and he looks it. He got a lot of work Saturday, and I focused just on him for probably 10 plays, not including when he might have come into my frame on other plays. One of those plays was an end around to Cody Hollister, and I though Harris was on it like he knew it was coming. He doesn't get hung up in traffic and seems to move pretty well in the shallows when in coverage. He looks like a MIKE linebacker, but I'd consider moving him to WILL to get him with that second group alongside Kendrick Jackson and Khalia Hackett.
