On paper, Saturday’s game at Ole Miss looks like an opportunity for Arkansas to get some things going on offense, but as UA offensive line coach Kurt Anderson said this team has no business licking their chops for anybody.

Ole Miss (3-5, 1-3 SEC) gave up 571 yards of offense during last weekend’s 40-24 loss to LSU in Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium, including 393 rushing yards. Arkansas fans may find it hard to believe, but the Razorbacks (2-5, 0-4 SEC) are not last in the SEC in total defense as that distinction belongs to the Rebels at 470.1 yards per game. Arkansas is 11th with 410.7 yards per game allowed.

The Rebels are last in rushing defense (260.6), eighth in passing defense (209.6) and second-to-last above Missouri in scoring defense (37.4 points per game).

"We’re not in a position as a 2-and-5 football team to be licking our chops about anybody."
Kurt Anderson
