Once a month, HawgSports.com sits down with Arkansas Director of Football Recruiting E.K. Franks for a Q&A session. Here's our chat for the month of August:
HawgSports: The current dead period runs through August 31. You guys open in Little Rock on the 31st. What are the challenges of basically losing a home game for visits, or is there a way to still invite kids to the game?
E.K. Franks: "The recruiting calendar changed, so it is a dead period for that game. There's been a waiver submitted that would allow us to have kids still come to the game -- we could still invite them -- but we just wouldn't be able to make contact with them while they're there."
